The Cadarn Housing Group is the parent company with Cadwyn Housing Association, Newydd Housing Association, Living Quarters (Lettings and Sales) Wales Ltd, and Igneous as subsidiaries.

Cadarn Housing Group is the parent of the Group and provides oversight and support services role. Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association, that offers over 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas. Cadwyn Housing Association owns and manages 2,000 homes for affordable rent and low-cost home ownership as well as a range of community regeneration initiatives.

About the role

We are looking for an Electrician to carry out electrical repairs, periodic testing and inspection, and rewiring and upgrade work in our properties and to deliver a high-quality service whilst maintaining our homes to the highest standard. We expect high standards of work and for our team to be flexible and solution focused. Your work will be assigned to you via a handheld tablet device, so whilst full training will be given, you should be comfortable using such a device in your daily work.

About you

This is a busy role, and you should enjoy working under your own initiative and managing a busy workload, whilst also being a team player with great customer service and communication skills. This is a physical role, and a good standard of general health and fitness is required. Central to the way you work should be the desire to finish jobs “right first time”. A full driving license is essential. The job is also subject to a DBS Check and a renewal check every three years.
