Cynon Taf Community Housing Group (CTCHG) has successfully achieved reaccreditation with Tai Pawb’s prestigious Quality in Equality and Diversity (QED) mark. This award recognises an unwavering commitment to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of their organisation.
CTCHG first began its QED journey in 2019 and achieved the QED Award in February 2020 and since then has taken significant steps to strengthen its approach to EDI. As an organisation it has developed a strategy that aligns with its overall mission, relaunched their organisational values to reflect inclusivity, and appointed dedicated EDI leads to drive progress through its working group. CTCHG have integrated EDI principles into recruitment, training, engagement, and service delivery, ensuring that fairness and representation are at the heart of everything it does. CTCHG have created safe spaces for employees and tenants to share their voices and contribute to positive change. These efforts have helped build a more inclusive culture where everyone feels involved in decision-making and valued for their contributions.
Achieving reaccreditation is not just an award, it is a recognition of the culture they are building.
Here at CTCHG we are confident that these changes have made a real difference and inspired us to continue learning and growing as an organisation. Looking ahead, we will maintain momentum by hosting inclusive community events, encouraging participation from underrepresented groups, and regularly monitoring progress through feedback and engagement data.
Auriol Miller, Group Chief Executive of Cynon Taf Community Housing Group, said:
