Responsible for: Leading Tai Pawb’s efforts to combat all forms of racial discrimination and promote equality in the Welsh housing sector as part of the Welsh Government’s Anti-Racist Wales Action Plan (ARWAP). Driving forward the Tai Pawb “Deeds Not Words” pledge, which advocates for equitable housing rights for ethnic minorities and individuals facing racial discrimination.
Experience and Interests: Prior to joining Tai Pawb, Evelyn was the Campaign Manager for the Diverse5050 Campaign with Women’s Equality Network (WEN Wales), advocating for equal and diverse representation for women in Welsh politics.
Evelyn’s advocacy for racial and gender equality is rooted in her background as a Legal Practitioner in Nigeria, with over eight years of experience in civil and criminal litigation. She has a Master’s degree in Development Studies focusing on Human Rights, Gender, and Conflict from the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University in the Netherlands, as well as an LLM in Legal Tech from Swansea University, UK.
