An interactive housing‑focused session supporting staff to understand hate incidents and hate crime, respond effectively, support tenants, and contribute to prevention, reporting and partnership approaches.

Course objectives

This interactive session supports housing staff to understand what hate incidents, hate crime and mate crime are, who can be affected, and how these issues can present in housing contexts.

Using relevant case studies, the course explores the role of housing organisations in supporting victims, increasing reporting, responding appropriately, preventing repeat incidents, and working with partner agencies. It also considers the link between hate incidents, hate crime and anti‑social behaviour, and the importance of recording, monitoring and learning from incidents.

If you are looking for a self‑led option, please see our Hate Incidents and Hate Crime e‑learning.

Sessions can be tailored to organisational context and delivered as a standalone workshop.
