This 60‑minute session is part of our Let’s Talk About… series and introduces the concept of allyship in a clear and practical way.
Allyship is often talked about, but its meaning and impact can be misunderstood. This session supports participants to explore what allyship looks like beyond good intentions or awareness, and why passive support alone does not challenge discrimination or inequality.
Participants consider the role of individuals and organisations in supporting marginalised people and groups, and the barriers that can make allyship feel uncomfortable or difficult in practice. The session focuses on practical behaviours, everyday actions and organisational responsibility, helping participants reflect on how allyship can show up in different workplace and service contexts.
The session complements our EDI Essentials and Recognising and Challenging Bias training.
