Responsible for: Work as part of the Policy and Public Affairs team on policy development, influencing, and campaigning across a range of housing, equality, and human rights issues, particularly the joint Back the Bill: the right to a good home campaign.
Experience and Interests: Gareth has spent his career working across housing and equalities in the third sector. His work has included powerful research that contributed to the increase of the Housing Support Grant funding and the classification of homelessness workers as key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Gareth is extremely proud of his collaborative work with a variety of external stakeholders and people with lived experience. An immigrant himself, Gareth is particularly interested in access to housing for those who have made Wales their new home.
Gareth holds a MA in International Relations and a BA in International Relations and Modern History. Outside of work, Gareth plays 5-a-side football, is an avid cinema-goer, writes about history, enjoys cooking, and is a devoted follower of his beloved CD Leganés
